I recently visited a group of micro-entrepreneurs in Kenya who are testing an innovative phone charging system. The product was developed by the award winning company Azuri and operates on a ‘pay as you go’ model. The entrepreneur pays a deposit to acquire the unit and monthly top ups to operate the system.GVEP recruited the participating micro-businesses and is managing the trial.
